The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine.

Everyone 6 months or older should get a flu vaccine every year. The flu usually spreads from person to person when someone with the flu coughs or sneezes. Sometimes people get the flu because they touch an object or surface with flu virus on it -- and then touch their eyes, nose, or mouth.

Help fight the fight by getting vaccinated and or practicing safe habits by washing your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes nose and mouth, and cover your sneeze with tissue or your elbow
