At Brooklyn Democracy Academy we do more that just celebrate Indigenous People Day. We incorporate the core principles of culturally responsive-sustaining education (CRSE) in all of the instruction.
By implementing instructional practices that encourages students to learn using aspects of their race, social class, gender, language, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, or ability, students are prepared to enter the world outside of high school and beyond with a greater sense of of self and pride.
