The Division of Family and Community Engagement fosters student achievement by strengthening partnerships between families and educators. Through leadership opportunities, training, and resources we aim for every parent to build their voice as they support and advocate for the educational success of all children.

JCCA’s mission is to provide the highest quality child welfare and mental health services to New York’s neediest and most vulnerable children and families to ensure that their safety, permanency and well-being leads to a life of stability and promise.

We partner with teachers and school leaders, parents and community organizations to provide ambitious, rigorous instruction and to design curricula that are relevant to students' lives and aligned to college and job skills.

OBT’s programs serve as a bridge to economic opportunity for youth, individuals, and families in underserved communities. We emphasize the principles of accountability, confidence, and professionalism to prepare participants for the workforce while developing personal and professional skills.

St. Nicks Alliance seeks to transform lives of low- and moderate-income people through employment, education, housing, and health care. We do this by delivering impactful services with measurable outcomes to children, adults, and the elderly. 

Urban Arts Partnership’s programming is targeted to address specific aspects of the ever growing achievement gap. Arts integration resides at the very core of our work as we inspire education in the schools and communities that need it most. Our Theory of Change approach is arts integrated, student centered, and data driven to motivate positive student outcomes.

Apex Learning digital curriculum is designed to actively engage students in learning combining embedded supports and scaffolds to meet diverse student needs, actionable data to inform instruction, and success management, to ensure you get the outcomes you're expecting.

The AP for All initiative, part of New York City's Equity and Excellence agenda, will bring new AP courses to schools that offer few or no AP courses. These schools will get rigorous training for new and continuing AP teachers. The city will also help school leaders identify students who are ready for AP course work and prepare those students to address equity gaps.

To support its High School College Access for All initiative, the NYC DOE will offer the SAT free of charge to all public school high school students during the school day the spring of their junior year, starting in the 2016-17 school year.

At Farmshelf, we build smart indoor farms for restaurants and hotels that make farming simple. Most people don’t have the time, space or the expertise to grow their own food. We make it easy to grow fresh, delicious food year-round -- in rain, snow or sleet -- right under your own roof.

Kinvolved galvanizes students, parents, teachers, leaders, and community stakeholders around a shared goal: To increase student achievement by minimizing absenteeism. We take a holistic approach to fighting chronic absenteeism, combining technology tools and human interventions to change the deeply ingrained behaviors and external factors affecting student attendance, including poverty, racism, and socio-economic exclusion.

The mission of the Public Schools Athletic League is to provide opportunities for educating students in physical fitness, character development and socialization skills through an athletic program that fosters teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.

A Single Shepherd is a dedicated school counselor or social worker that supports students by meeting with them both one-on-one and in groups to identify needs, provide individualized support, and assist students in the development of the social-emotional and academic skills necessary to thrive in their education.

NY Sun Works is a non-profit organization that builds innovative science labs in urban schools. Through our Greenhouse Project Initiative we use hydroponic farming technology to educate students and teachers about the science of sustainability.
